The origins of « Fairtrade »

Appeared in the 1940’s in the United States of America, the fairtrade is popular abroad. In Europe and particularly in France, the fairtrade is booming in 1970’s thanks to actions lead by Pierre Priest in order to help Bangladesh.  We define the fair trade as an organized social movement which promotes standards for international labour and social policy in areas related to production of Fairtrade labeled and unlabelled goods. As a general rule the movement focuses in particular on exports from developing countries to developed countries.
